Floor & Pass is a small independent editorial project for the people who run restaurant and lounge dining rooms. We publish practical notes for hosts and service teams, with particular attention to the decisions that shape evening service.

We exist because the ordinary parts of hospitality deserve careful language. A wait estimate or a course sent too early can change how a meal feels, yet these moments often receive less attention than what arrives on the plate.

We work through general service situations and explain the reasoning behind each procedure. Examples are illustrative, and linked background reading is kept separate from our editorial judgment. We make no claim that one room's routine suits every operation; food safety decisions must follow the rules that apply locally.
